Mom, Mika, and Josh

One of the coolest things that you can see a little bit of in this pic, but nowhere near the full impact is Mika’s reaction…she was crying. Not sad, but crying because she was happy (she said herself). She is our sensitive one, but not sure we expected that. Or that she’d even want to watch the birth (both did). She was awesome, and her tender heart is one of my favorite things about her.

  1. I love the Internet–I had composed a wonderful comment, and then it disappeared! OK, here we go again:Congratulations again! Yes, I'm only just up & awake–I'm not as young as the rest of you!I don't know if it's the blanket, but Josh looks huge compared to my biggest–a mere 8 1/2 lbs.!! LOLCall me when you get home–that will be today, won't it?A note to Mika & Sammy: I can hardly wait to see you & your new brother so that you can tell me all about his birth!Love to all,Rosalie:)

  2. I think Mika surprised herself by wanting to watch the birth. I think she was very brave and I can completely relate to how overwhelming it is to watch a miracle unfold right in front of your eyes. I am so very grateful to have shared that experience with all of you. Thank you JoAnn, Scott, Mika and Sam for letting me be a part of that. My love to all of you. 🙂
