Skin MD Natural™, Week 2

[All of my reviews of Skin MD™ Natural are here.] Let me preface–for those new to my blog, especially–that I am somewhat cynical by nature. With that being said…I can easily say, though, that Skin MD™ Natural lives up to its reputation and hype. The results after 2 weeks? First, the flakiness of my forehead…

Office Depot Update

In all fairness to the initial post… I received a reply Saturday from Mr. Ahlbum, from his Blackberry, actually. (Pasted, so did not correct errors). Thanks for your response, I completely understood your frustration and I am sorry if ny words did not adequately convey that sentiment to you. I certainly did mot mean to insult…

Homeschooling: elitist and anti-democratic

Found a phenomenal blog post criticizing more of the nearly- (or in some cases, clearly-) moronic statements regarding the recent CA ruling on homeschooling and certification:http://principleddiscovery.com/2008/03/14/homeschooling-elitist-and-anti-democratic/ Check it out…hits back logically and with references. PS You’d think that if the libs in CA and elsewhere were right, that homeschoolers would be performing poorly compared to…

Install Microsoft TrueType Fonts in Ubuntu (Or Derivative)

So I’d grown accustomed to the default fonts in Mint, and hadn’t had any issues since the font smoothing. But today I decided to install the Windows TrueType fonts….and wow, what a difference! It’s not so much the fonts themselves, just that nearly everything online and off is built using them. So websites look different–heck,…

So appeared to be either the thermostat or thermocoupler. Went to Home…

Funky Iguana

No, not some pet or something I saw…it’s a Mexican restaurant in Tacoma. And we went there for dinner tonight. It’s a small hole-in-the-wall type of place off of 38th St, next to Dightman’s. Great service, good authentic food, and great prices. Highly recommended.

The Scambait has ended…

My scambait of a Nigerian 419 has officially ended. Unfortunately, I didn’t get anything out of him, but did successfully waste a week of his time. Because of the nature of this, I probably will not post details here…but may give some general outline of what transpired with some audio of voicemails received.

Jury Duty, Epilogue

That was easy. A little too easy, if you ask me. But you didn’t, so nevermind. Showed up for jury duty and was greeted at the assembly room by a gentleman asking if there was any reason I couldn’t serve the entire two weeks. I hesistated about 3.4 milliseconds before saying yes, whereupon he directed…
