[All of my Skin MD™ Natural are here.]

Today begins a month-long trial/product review for Skin MD Natural™, brought to my attention by Christine at From Dates to Diapers, and beyond! Fear not, though…I’ll only be posting about it weekly, and the results of other users will be posted on Christine’s blog as well.

Skin MD Natural™ is a shielding lotion, as opposed to a standard moisturizing lotion. The distinction is explained on their website, so click away.

Anyway, my “trouble areas” have crept up fairly recently, kinda like my receding hairline, but we’ll get to that in a bit. The first is an area on my left foot below the ankle. This area had gotten so bad that it was almost scaly and very rough. The second is my ever-expanding forehead, which has become flaky.

There are two things I immediately noticed about the lotion as I used it this morning: it’s nearly odorless (a very good thing for a guy!) and it is thinner than “normal” lotions. But it went on without any sort of oily feeling and absorbed very rapidly.

I don’t expect any immediate results, but will update throughout the month.

  • It does sound good. I’m an artist and find that the oils and solvents I use are always drying my hands out and leaving them dry, cracked and sore. This sounds great, especially as it’s non greasy and lasts so long. It seems to be getting some good press too and is worth checking out – Skin MD Natural in the UK. It uses a new advanced scientific proprietary formulation which, apparently, has a moisturizing factor 6 times greater than glycerin, the standard humectant (water absorber) against which all others are measured. It is a shielding lotion which bonds to the skin to keep the irritants out, moisture in and protects the skin in a way a normal moisturizer can’t. Well worth a look.

  • Sure, summarize it better than me…!
