FBI File Update, Part Deux

So I receive a letter from the FBI. In said letter, I get a form saying that my initial request could not be processed because it needed particular additional information and, highlighted, an original signature. Ironically, they also included my original request, which listed every last piece of info they requested plus some as well as an original signature. How’s that for bureaucracy?

So I wrote back, referencing their request, pointing out that all that info was available along with the original signature, and then to top it off, added that since the requested info had already be provided, that the timeline established by the Freedom of Information/Privacy Act be initiated as of the date of my original request. I also sent back their form, the original request, and the copy of the Seattle field office letter they sent me.
