From The People’s Cube
So…far fewer quotes, but that may be because most of his speeches have the words “hope” and “change” sprinkled in quite liberally, and repeated. Do that enough and there’s just not enough time to get more substance in.
“Our individual salvation depends on our collective salvation.”
Sorry, man….salvation is entirely a personal thing, and I certainly am not responsible for the sins of another.
“It’s only when you hitch your wagon to something larger than yourself that you realize your true potential.”
Back to the idea of the collective, are we? Sounds even beyond socialism.
“I don’t oppose all wars. What I am opposed to is a dumb war. What I am opposed to is a rash war.”
What you mean to say is that you are only opposed to the ones that you yourself strategize and plan, because that’s the only sure way that it would be not dumb and not rash, correct? Quite politically balanced.
