Phoenix Set To Land on Mars Shortly…

The Phoenix probe is set to land in the arctic area of Mars in about 15 minutes. It’s mission is to dig and analyze soil, or more specifically, to analyze the water trapper below the soil. More details at NASA.

And while more than half of the world’s attempt to land at Mars have failed, there’s reason for hope: the Mars Exploration Rovers Spirit and Opportunity were initially only designed for a little over 90 days. Four plus years later, they are both working and sending important information.
