A Dad First

Today at noon(ish) JoAnn leaves for a four-day twice-yearly retreat that she’s been going to for years.

That means I am alone with the kids. That’s so much a big deal.

But it is the first time that Maddie is not going with her, and the first time Maddie has been away from her overnight…and essentially this is also going to be a weaning of sorts as well.

Tonight will be rough, as may the other nights. Days will be fine…though I do also have to work.

So…pray for me. 🙂 And more importantly for Maddie.
