Father’s Day for the Fatherless…

I’ve always struggled with Father’s Day.  Not with being a father…that part I like and cherish…but with the other side of the equation and not really having had a father.

So whether you are without a father because of his choices in life, or distance, or even death…you are not alone.

There are two things I want to tell those of you in this situation today:

1. There are plenty of us dads out there that are willing to fill in the gap in some way. We (obviously) can’t be your actual father, but we can be a father. Seek us out. Find us.
2. You will always have an always-loving and always-good father in *the* Father.
