PR Folks

While I appreciate PR firms contacting me for product reviews and giveaways, I do have some suggestions, if I may…which are subject to change at will, so pay attention:

1. Please be courteous enough to introduce yourself and your company. Boilerplate templates and press releases are tacky. And impersonal. And likely to be ignored.

2. Please do not assume I’m going to take the time to read/review/promote your product or service for free. I have a life,  a family to house/feed/care for, and an IT company to run. Not looking for cash (though I’d consider!), but some sort of consideration of my time and my readers’ time is appropriate.

3. Please connect…it’s what makes social media, well, social. I’m on twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook. Say hello…it goes a long way.
