Some test results…

Spinal tap came back negative, so no meningitis.Are markers for urinary tract infection, so treating for that while awaiting culture. Right now he’s very stuffy and feverish–so suctioning for the stuffiness and giving periodic Tylenol for the fever….while waiting. And waiting.

One test has come back positive…

…he has some sort of bladder or related infection that they’ll now have to culture. Which is a bit of an odd one since he’s not showed any symptoms like crying when he goes, and he’s definitely been going. Also an odd one to have at his age.

Not quite what I’d hoped…

JoAnn called with an update. On arrival, Joshua’s pulse was a bit high and his oxygen level a little low, but he’s responded to the Tylenol they’ve given. Will be starting him on antibiotics and doing a bunch of tests, including a spinal tap to check for meningitis. Now I’m a little more nervous, and…
