Tomorrow’s test and other stuff

So tomorrow morning we have a scheduled biophysical profile for the baby.
The biophysical profile combines an ultrasound evaluation with a nonstress test (NST) and is intended to determine fetal health during the third trimester, or in our case the fourth trimester. This test is performed if there is a question about fetal health and well being resulting from either an examination, maternal/fetal symptoms, or if the pregnancy is considered high risk, or as standard procedure after 41 weeks. Thursday is a bit of timeline for us–after that date, not only are we considered more high-risk, but we cannot deliver at the birthing center. We’d be limited to either home birth (which we’d be ok with, but would need to rearrange a lot) or a hospital (which is more along the lines of the bubonic plague).
