Now that’s how it is supposed to go…

Two really good things last night:
1. After a week of being pretty adamant about how we wanted to be involved in the decision-making and care of Joshua, the nurses that were on duty last night actually reassured us that we’d be awakened for any assessments, care, etc for Joshua through the night. That, and an RT explaining how the blood oxygen stats are looked at (that the dips below the magic number are ok, and not as huge of a deal as had been made previously, but that transiently there were absolutely fine, and long as he recovered on his own and those numbers came back up) gave us peace of mind to actually get some sleep. Not great sleep, or long sleep, but more than we’ve gotten.
2. Joshua made it through the night without oxygen. And his levels were really good…so we likely will be going home today!!!
