Josh has been nursing well and fairly regularly, but there’s still congestion, and his respiration rate is still a bit higher than it should be. But things are improving, and he’s doing more of his wake time during the day, which shows that he is feeling better. He’s not been feverish for a couple days now.
We’ve got his oxygen down to 1/8 LPM–lowest flow rate, and right now just to help support the respiration rate so he doesn’t have to work so hard to breathe. Tomorrow during the day we’ll probably attempt to wean off to see if his lung capacity can sustain as well as it needs to…and if so, that’s one of the main hurdles. (He needs to be off O2 for 24hrs).
