Now THAT was an interesting morning!

Sammy and I took the dogs (yes, both of them this time, for the first time) to the Fort Steilacoom Off-leash Dog Park (or whatever the official name is) this morning.
Had barely entered the gated area of the larger area when Jennifer and Jordan Lee approach us. They saw us first, though even if I had seen them first, I’m not sure I would have been completely confident it was them, since I hadn’t seen them since their wedding last August, and frankly there is a part of me that still remembers them as they were on the 1994 and 1995 Youth Choir tours. But they look wonderful, and are still in the area.
Sammy was getting restless, so we only chatted briefly and said goodbye.
But only got a handful of steps before seeing–of all people–Noelani Lee (formerly Prouse), her husband, little girl, and Noe’s mom. Now I’ve run into Noe’s mom several times over the years, but hadn’t seen Noe since like 1995, and had never met her husband. [For those that do not know, Noe and I dated for a bit after she graduated and when she was at college. And…her husband is the guy she dated after. So was only slightly awkward, but was more of a wonderful blessing to see her again and finally meet Ryan and their little daughter who is incredibly adorable.] They are still in the Portland area, and her mom had moved from U.P. to the Steilacoom area a few years ago.
It certainly is a strange, small world…with all of these Lees.

i could get behind that…
Okay, this will seem really weird, but bear with me. I was an old friend of Mary, who I believe is Noelani's Mom — We used to live together in Hawai'i and she and I were on the same swim team. Mary and I went out on a date once or twice. I was at Mary's wedding and have a picture of baby Noelani Mary sent me when Noelani was born. If you are in touch with Noelani and can get a message to Mary, I'd appreciate hearing from her. (No, I don't want to rekindle an old flame — although I had a major crush on her at the time, I am very happily married.)I'd love to hear from Mary or Noelani — my email is myruststuff at hotmail.com.thanks,Bill Sulik
