Coffee Wars

Turns out, that as the coffee capital of the known world, we don’t have coffee.

See, on the other coast, they have flavored coffee like we have Starbucks…nearly every street corner, whether at a Dunkin Donuts or elsewhere. Apparently regular coffee, cream, sugar and that sort of stuff, but then flavorings like raspberry, strawberry cheesecake, french vanilla, etc.

And things don’t translate well, especially trying to order something like that at a Starbucks here (and they don’t even put the cream and sugar in for you!).

The one thing they do have over there is cost. We’ve been so incredibly desensitized to it by way of Starbucks and the tons of other “coffee” places on this coast that we think nothing of paying $5 for a drink…there it’s like $2.
