Best and Worst of 2007

This pic sums up both the best and the worst of 2007. For those that do not know (saga began here), Joshua was taken to the hospital at 3 weeks old..and we ended up being there for an entire gut-wrenching, sleep-deprived week. But the day we left is when this picture was taken, and was one of his first smiles, as if he was telling us everything was ok now. That week was the most difficult time I’ve ever been through, watching our baby having trouble breathing, seeing him in pain and not being able to do much of anything except to be there with him…but at the same time, I think it was a time that drew us closer, helped prioritize things, and we were able to take our happy, joy-giving baby boy home.
