PayPerPost

Last week I discovered PayPerPost, and signed up. It’s an interesting advertising method that pays for a blogger to write about certain products or websites….but also allows the blogger to choose what is being written or reviewed, and choose the payout as well. So, for example, a computer-related blog could find and review something actually related to the blog, or a homeschooling blog could find and review something related to homeschooling (although I haven’t searched that one specifically yet).
Some of the items require a certainly level within Google’s Pagerank–which, for more established blogs, shouldn’t be much of an issue, but others do not have the requirement. The post is done according to the requirements (certain number of words, Pagerank, links, tone, etc) and then submitted, reviewed, and paid.
For me, the funds will go towards my online slush fund, which I use for online purchases, some online bills, web hosting–or in this case, may move this blog to an actual domain name. It provides options for generating quite a bit of money, if one were to post a lot, but for me will not be at that level. I just don’t want the blog dominated by reviews, but am willing to accept money now and again!
