Apple’s Home for Homeschools

Homeschooling has grown significantly over the past several years, with current estimates of up to 2.2 million homeschooled students. At Apple, we have focused on building technology solutions for education for over 25 years. And now, recognizing the growing demand of homeschoolers, we are making the full range of Apple’s educational products and solutions available to homeschools.

I’m not a fanboy of either Mac or PC, or Linux for that matter. My background PC with some Linux (which I run on my Thinkpad) and a small amount of Mac. As I’ve written before, I believe each has their strengths and each has their place. But what Apple is choosing to do here is phenomenal…and I kinda wish it would have happened a while back when I got my Thinkpad, because I might otherwise have been typing this on a Mac. Regardless, this program is amazing and helps give even more credibility and recognition to what we do.

  1. Just wanted to point out that homeschools have been in Apple's educational programs (including the summer free iPod promotion) for at least the last 3 years. It's not new.mark

  2. Thanks for the info! Apple's own article didn't mention–unless prior to this it was more limited on what was in the program. Either way…it's great that they choose to do this.
