Sammy’s Tournament

Sammy’s Governor’s Cup (State) Tournament was today. Since I had to work, JoAnn’s there with him.

Just got a call that in his forms (poomse), he just won a gold in his age bracket.

Coming up, his breaking…he’s doing a combination of a chop break, elbow break, axe kick break, and sliding sidekick break. It’s a great looking combo.

Update: Sammy’s breaking earned a Silver. Apparently the placement of the boards was off (like the elbow one, instead of being right behind him was set up feet away), plus he missed on the sliding sidekick.

All in all, though, he had a great day!
