What World is the President From?
Saturday’s Presidential Radio Address, where the President hailed the massive (and little- (or non-) read by the voting members of Congress) spending package formerly know as a “stimulus” package:
“Never before in our history has a tax cut taken effect faster or gone to so many hardworking Americans,” Obama said Saturday in his weekly radio and Internet address.
The tax cut he spoke of is the reduction of payroll taxes to amount to $400 for individuals and $800 for couples over the course of the year. Yes, year:
He said the Treasury Department has begun directing employers to reduce the amount of taxes withheld from people’s paychecks in accordance with the new law, and that in six weeks, a typical family will start taking home at least $65 more every month.
Where in this country will $65 per month for a family make ANY kind of dent in the economy? Where will this stimulate the economy?

Woo-hoo $65 dollars – we are going to be partying in 6 weeks!!!! Maybe my family will get some desserts when our gravy train comes in.
Just remember, though, that ONLY families with TWO working parents get the full $800. Families with a SAHM who doesn't work outside of the home even part-time will get only $400.Make you feel all warm & fuzzy inside doesn't it? (Like just before you're about to throw up.)Amy
I'm not worried about where he's from, I'm worried about where he's living now. For somebody with such immense popularity, he sure seems remarkably disconnected to reality.
