Handy Dad: 25 Awesome Projects for Dads and Kids is just that…a book of projects for dads and kiddos to do together. Some great ideas and a great range of ideas….from a great paper airplane (surprisingly is a slight modification of a design I’ve used forever) to woodworking projects such as a bike jump, a half-pipe, and even a homemade lava-lamp…and lots in between.

The projects are separated by difficulty level/time involved: Easy Projects, Afternoon Projects, and Weekend Projects. Fortunately for me, no week-long-and-then-finding-lead-in-the-house projects, because frankly, we’ve had enough of that whole thing). There are a few we’ll probably do this summer, and others next as the kids are older….and will post those projects as they happen.

Instructions are easy to follow and have great pictures of the steps (which is good–the visualization is the biggest challenge for me). A great guide to spending some time together and building things the kids will enjoy.
