    About

Welcome! The first iteration of this blog started in 2008, and was around for a long while. A few years back, I mothballed it, then downloaded the old data, and reset the entire thing.

What do I envision for A Dad First now? A personal commentary site centered on fatherhood and lived experience, combining cultural commentary, disability advocacy, reviews and increasingly investigative coverage of local institutions—particularly Silverwood Theme Park.

    Quote to ponder

“All good allegory exists not to hide but to reveal; to make the inner world more palpable by giving it an (imagined) concrete embodiment.”
